Aaron Sage gives Congressman Thornberry a tour of the Sage Oil Vac plant.
Congressman Thornberry gets a demonstration of the patented Sage Oil Vac product, a new concept in on-site fluid handling and transportation. The Oil Vac was invented in 1994 by Gary Sage to conduct oil changes on irrigation engines he was operating on his corn and wheat farm northwest of Dalhart. Sage’s invention ultimately led to a fulltime business selling Oil Vac products to a wide range of customers including the military, mobile oil change operators, oil distributors, heavy equipment contractors, and farmers in other states.
After touring the Sage Oil Vac plant, Congressman Thornberry met with the local news media to preview Congress’ agenda for 2006. A top priority for the Congressman is preventing tax increases. Here he points to a chart illustrating the dramatic growth in employment that began when Congress approved a tax relief package in May 2003 – more than 4.5 million U.S. new jobs since the bill’s passage. Congressman Thornberry believes Congress must keep taxes from increasing in order to preserve the economic climate that is helping businesses grow.
