Astoria,
Ore. -- With
tourism to Fort Clatsop and other Lewis and Clark sites
in and near Astoria expected to sharply increase as
the bicentennial approaches, it is vital for the area
to have adequate transportation alternatives in place.
Ron worked with local officials and the Congressional
delegation to secure federal funding for the Astoria
Transit Center, busses and Netul Landing, the gateway
to Fort Clatsop. He also helped clear administrative
roadblocks to enable the Explorer Train to begin service.
