Washington, DC -- On Wednesday, October 4, 2006, Ron met with Mary Bradford a 24-year employee of the Daily Courier. At the age of 84, Ms. Bradford is being recognized as Oregon's Outstanding Older Worker 2006.

Ms. Bradford began working as a proofreader in the newsroom one day a week in the classified department at the Daily Courier in 1984 after having been retired from a 17-year career in the aerospace industry. She discovered her life's calling two years later when she was promoted to newsroom librarian.

She is an active volunteer, grandmother and bowler. Ron was proud to congratulate her on her accomplishments.
