Shuster Presented with the “Tax Fighter Award”

Washington, DC – Congressman Bill Shuster is honored to receive the 109th Congress "Tax Fighter Award" from the National Tax Limitation Committee (NTLC).   The NTLC announced presentation of the award, which was given to Congressman Shuster in appreciation of his leadership and outstanding public service on behalf of the American taxpayer.

“I am honored to receive this award today,” said Shuster.  “I am very pleased that the NTLC has recognized me for supporting pro-growth fiscal policies and for my efforts to keep taxes low. I’ve always believed that the American people know better how to use their paychecks than the government and I am committed to that cause.”

Lewis K. Uhler, the President of NTLC, presented the award and congratulated Congressman Shuster on his voting record:

“Congressman Shuster’s votes on tax and spending issues in the 109th Congress earned him an A grade and the Tax Fighter Award,” said Uhler. “Congressman Shuster has led the battle on behalf of taxpayers in his district and across America to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, to eliminate the death tax, to provide incentives for private savings, investment and job creation and to control the growth of federal spending. We look forward to working with Congressman Shuster in the 110th Congress.”
