State and County Fairs

With the traditional snip of the blue ribbon, Illinois' State and County Fairs are multi-day sensory overloads. Full of rides, exhibits, crafts, food, competitions and entertainment, these exhibitions allow for a taste of all that Illinois has to offer. The Illinois State Fair opens August 11 and the DuQuoin State Fair opens Aug 27. There are County fairs happening well into September, so make plans for these fun events to be part of your summer celebrations.
