Open Office Hours

There are currently no Open Office hours scheduled. Please check back soon or visit our Traveling Help Desk page to find out when you can visit with a member of Congressman Shimkus' staff in your area.

Open Office Hours are a way for the constituents of the 19th District to meet personally with Congressman Shimkus. Those interested in scheduling an appointment with Congressman Shimkus should call (217) 492-5090 or (618) 344-3065. Appointments are not required but are preferred to allow for adequate preparation.

Those with problems or concerns, but who are unable to attend at this time, may contact any of Congressman Shimkus' offices at anytime.

"Open Office Hours are open to all," Shimkus noted. "No one should feel that their problem or concern is not important enough to stop by."

"Open office hours provide anyone wishing to meet with me personally that opportunity in their hometown," Shimkus said. "Those having problems with a federal agency, such as Social Security or the IRS, are welcome to stop by, as are people who favor or oppose a particular piece of legislation."

Persons requiring special accommodations should contact Rodney at (217) 492-5090 at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled office hours.
