The American Red Cross has announced there is a regional
blood shortage in New England, impacting its ability to meet
the demands of hospitals for a safe and adequate blood supply.
2000 units of blood must be collected each day to meet the
basic needs of hospitals throughout New England.
If you are interested in giving blood, please call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE
to make an appointment to give “the Gift of Life"
or for more information. Walk-in donors are also welcome.
Blood donors must be 17 or older, weigh 110 pounds or more
and be in generally good health. Positive ID is required at
the time of donation and a complete list of blood drives is
available online at www.mfcarc.org
