VISITING IRAQ - As Chairman of the House Terrorism, Unconventional Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee, Congressman Saxton has traveled to Iraq to meet with U.S. and Iraqi military and civilian authorities in October 2003, February 2004 and January and July 2005.

IN IRAQ - Congressman Jim Saxton recently traveled to Iraq, leading a bipartisan congressional delegation. While there he met with Gen. George Casey, commander of Multi-National Forces in Iraq, to discuss the situation in Iraq. He also met service members from New Jersey.

HOLIDAY WITH THE TROOPS - Congressman Saxton traveled to Iraq on July 4 to spend the holiday with the troops. He ate traditional picnic fare with members of the Texas Army National Guard.

SAUDI ARABIA VISIT

SAUDI ARABIA VISIT - Congressman Saxton took his bipartisan delegation to Saudi Arabia to talk about the Saudi government's efforts to combat terrorism. Here he confers with the Interior Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Naif, Deputy Minister of Interior. The Prince is head of counter terrorism program.

TURKISH SUPPORT

TURKISH SUPPORT - The Saxton delegation addressed reporters about the Turkish Parliament's decision to send up to 10,000 troops to help stabilize Iraq. Congressman Saxton told an international group of media that Congress appreciated Turkey's decision.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL - A smiling face of a young student at an Iraqi school. Coalition Forces have reopened more than 1,500 schools. The students gave The Saxton Delegation a warm welcome in October.

GOOD COMPANY - Congressman Saxton takes time to eat with the troops stationed in the Iraqi Theater. Mr. Saxton, the fourth-highest ranking of Members on the House Armed Services Committee, met with troops from New Jersey and other states.

STUDENTS LEARNING

STUDENTS LEARNING - Mr. Saxton met with these students in Iraq. Through an interpreter, the youths expressed excitement and appreciation at meeting Americans. The teachers and principal expressed similar sentiment.
