Dear Friend,
As the representative for the diverse Third Congressional District of
South Jersey, I have been engaged in numerous conservation issues. The
beautiful Third District includes three large bays, a string of barrier
islands, fishing industries, a National Wildlife Refuge, a wilderness
area, numerous rivers and a half million acres of the Federal Pinelands
Reserve.
As an American, I feel that we all have an obligation to be good stewards
of the environment. As chairman of the House Fisheries Conservation,
Wildlife and Oceans Subcommittee between 1994-2000, I have tried to
put that perspective into practice, and as the current Vice Chairman
of the House Fish and Oceans Subcommittee, I plan to continue working
on this important challenge.
This Website has some of my more recent activities on environmental matters,
and some links to pertinent sites. If you are a Third District constituent,
please feel free to contact me on any federal issue.
All the best,
Jim Saxton
