As a constituent of the 1st Congressional District, you can request and purchase flags to be flown over the United States Capitol. Flags can be flown on a particular day in recognition of significant event (e.g. commemoration of a town's founding; opening of a new school, hospital, library, community or senior center; establishment of a new Boy or Girl Scout troop; founding of a new VFW chapter. Please make sure you send your flag form and check at least a month in advance to allow for processing time.
