Congressional internships are a great way for Third District college students to learn about their government and experience the legislative process first hand!

 
In both the Washington and Minnetonka offices, Jim is proud to have an internship program where Third District college students can learn about their government, experience the legislative process and advance career interests while potentially obtaining academic credit.  A quarter- or semester-long internship usually provides ample opportunity to witness the day-to-day operations of a congressional office.

The intern will carry out a combination of administrative duties while also having the opportunity to conduct substantive research and attend Congressional committee meetings.

Qualified applicants must possess professionalism and maturity. Our office is very fast paced and requires that interns be self starters and able to handle several assignments at once.  Also, successful interns must possess common sense, good judgment and excellent listening skills.
