Because Oregonians get hit especially hard by high gas and energy prices, Ron has issued three reports investigating anti-competitive and anti-consumer practices. His reports regarding high gas prices and manipulative strategies by oil companies have sparked investigations by the Federal Trade Commission and the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Most recently, Ron released a report detailing the Federal Trade Commission' s failure to protect consumers in Oregon and across America even after investigations showed the agency's inaction was contributing to higher gasoline prices.
