Agriculture
The agriculture industry is a vital component of the Second Congressional District of Michigan. The district is home to a diverse range of agriculture production that includes apples, asparagus, blueberries, cherries, dairy and livestock to name a few. In fact, the 2nd district ranks first in total value of agricultural products sold in the state of Michigan.
Congress consistently faces issues that will impact the agriculture community in Michigan. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, I will continue to support legislation that promotes Michigan's specialty crops and provides all farmers with the tools to compete in the ever-changing global marketplace.
