OWENS STATEMENT ON WILLIAM BENNETT

"As a member of the House Education Committee, I know William Bennett very well. He served as the Secretary of Education and later returned to Congress to testify that we should abolish the Department of Education. Bill Bennett is an unstable, gambling addict who forgot that he was on a radio show and blurted out some of the genocidal notions that he and his right wing friends discuss every evening at cocktail parties. Beware of Bennett's wishful thinking. Since he is religiously obligated to speak against the use of abortion to eliminate Black males, he might join those who have no moral qualms about using gas chambers. Low morality role models like Bennett and the money laundering drug abuser, Rush Limbaugh, should be banned from radio and television by the FCC in order to protect our children."
