Congresswoman Musgrave Remarks On Foley Misconduct

Today, Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave offered the following comments regarding the misconduct of former Congressman Mark Foley:
“I have no tolerance for congressmen that break the law, especially those involved with inappropriate sexual activity with minors.
“Mark Foley’s actions were lewd and disgraceful and I believe his immediate resignation last week is not enough.
“On Friday evening, I voted to open an investigation by the House Ethics Committee to determine who knew what and when they knew it. Not only that, but I also want a criminal investigation to be opened by the Department of Justice.
“The pages that serve in the House are entrusted by their parents to live, work, and go to school in a safe and secure environment. They should be able to have complete confidence that their children are safe.”
