The office of Congressman John Olver (D-MA) accepts intern applications
for the Fall and Spring semesters and for the Summer. This is an
excellent opportunity for college students and recent graduates
to gain firsthand experience with the federal government in Washington,
DC. Responsibilities and tasks can vary, but interns are generally
responsible for:
- Researching and responding to constituent letters.
- Attending briefings and hearings on various legislative issues.
- Giving tours of the U.S. Capitol building.
- Performing administrative duties.
Internships are usually full-time, but the intern coordinator may
arrange part-time schedules. Students from the 1st District of
Massachusetts are preferred, but all applicants are welcome. Due
to budget constraints, all internships are UNPAID, but many colleges
allow you to arrange for credit. To apply, please fax a resume,
