North Central Projects
(Includes Orange and Far Northwest Middlesex County) |
|
Western and north central Massachusetts communities often don't have enough local or state-supplied funds to finance critical local transportation, health care, education, crime prevention, environmental protection, recreation, cultural or historic preservation projects.
A position on the House Appropriations Committee can help. Since my appointment to that Committee, I've worked closely with local leaders and planners to boost economic development spending in communities all over the First Congressional District.
Here is a list of economic development initiatives in North Central Massachusetts that have been funded or partially funded by the federal government at my request. Unless otherwise indicated, funding was included in one of the annual appropriations bills.
