The daily traffic count at Kadena Air Base on Okinawa averages about 200, and the five or six air traffic controllers in the tower at any given time make sure none of the aircraft crash into each other during departure and arrival. They call it separating and sequencing.

Soldier who died in Iraq receives U.S. citizenship

Clutching a framed photograph of her smiling husband and choking back tears, Salina Jimenez accepted a naturalization certificate Tuesday. It belonged to her husband, Sgt. David Jimenez Almazan, who died Aug. 27 in a roadside blast in Iraq.
