Welcome to Marine Forces Reserve
Marine Forces Reserve New Demobilization Policy
Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans – Marine Forces Reserve Headquarters revises its 90-day transition policy for Selected Marine Corps Reserve Marines who return from deployment to allow for greater flexibility in planning for future deployments.

The original policy was established when Marine Reserve units were activating for shorter periods and allowed Marines to remain on active duty for as long as 90 days following the return from deployment as long as activated time remained within the one year period. Now that the current deployment cycle has a longer, more rigorous pre-deployment training program, a 90-day transition is no longer possible within the established 12-month activation period. The revised Marine Forces Reserve policy now limits the transition time upon returning to the reserve training center to ensure that activation time remains within one year. The transition time available will depend upon various factors.

Individual situations may require exceptions to the revised policy. Local units may request through the chain-of-command to retain a Marine voluntarily on orders if unique circumstances so warrant. The policies regarding medical and legal hold remain in effect.

The judicious use of mobilization time will, in turn, allow for greater flexibility when planning for future deployments. The long term predictability for the individual Marine and sustainability of the Total Force continue to be the key objectives with regard to policy decisions and/or revisions.
MarForRes Band Holiday Concert Schedule

Bring your family together for an evening of holiday oriented band music, comedy, jazz, caroling, and maybe even a visit from Santa! The concert is given in support of the Toys For Tots campaign.
