» Gas Prices Need Oversight
September 12, 2005 – For more than three months, gas pieces have remained at record levels – topping at nearly $3.00 per gallon in many cities from coast to coast. That means gas prices have risen 77 cents since the beginning of the year, and are 68 cents higher than one year ago. In Texas, gas prices have risen by 75 cents over the course of a year.
