Veterans' Affairs

North Carolina is one of America’s leading military states. That is why our state’s Congressional delegation must continue to stand firm in support of our troops and our veterans.

Congressman McHenry will insist that our troops are paid the good salary they deserve and have the supplies and training they need to effectively defend our nation.

Those who served in years past are especially deserving of our gratitude. Indeed, we owe our very freedom to them. Since 1994, the number of veterans receiving medical care through the VA ahs grown from 2.5 - 4.8 million – a 92 percent increase.

Congressman McHenry will work to maintain and quality healthcare for vets, and find ways we can modernize an often inefficient VA bureaucracy, to make sure those who wore the uniform receive first rate benefits.
