Washington, DC - Rep. Tom Price (GA-06-R) issued the following statement after the Department of Labor released the latest report on job growth. In the month of September, the economy created 51,000 new jobs adding to the 6.6 million created since August of 2003.

“It should come as no surprise that the American economy continues to create jobs under Republican leadership,” said Price. “Our pro-growth policies have produced 37 months of positive job growth and an unemployment rate that dipped back down to 4.6 percent.”

“Unlike our colleagues on the other side of the aisle, Republicans have continued to support broad tax cuts that put more money back into the pockets of hard-working Americans. We have entrusted the American people with their own dollars, and they have chosen to invest and grow our economy at a rate faster than any other major industrialized nation. Our economic plan maintains this trust.”
