Rep. Sue Kelly's Student Center
Welcome to Congresswoman Kelly's Student Center -- created especially for the youth of the 19th Congressional District. Each month during the school year, a different class in the 19th District hosts Congresswoman Kelly's Student Center.
The summer hosts are the 4th grade students in Mrs. Snowden's class at Glenham Elementary School in Beacon, N.Y. (Dutchess County).
Congresswoman Kelly recently visited the school (photo, right) to answer questions and discuss the work of the federal government with the students. Some of the students have done extra-credit work to contribute to Congresswoman Kelly's web site about laws and Congress. View their work!
Teachers interested in having their class host the student page during the 2006-07 school year should email Congresswoman Kelly through the Write Your Representative system and include their daytime contact information.
A former teacher herself, Congresswoman Kelly is eager to help teachers in the 19th District bring an increased understanding of Congress and the federal government to the students in their classrooms.
