Today Congressman Dana Rohrabacher spoke at a rally for the
Minuteman Project.
“There is no job that Americans won’t do for the right
amount of compensation,” he stated at the rally. “Illegal immigration
depresses wages and is both an economic and security threat to our country.”
The rally was held to protest the apparent funding of a
guest worker program proposed in the President’s FY07 budget.
“We need to remain positive in this debate and emphasize
that this is not about a certain people from a certain country,” Rohrabacher
stated. “This is about taking care of our own family before we take care
of a foreign family, and there is nothing wrong with that.”
