Congressmen Marty Meehan (D-MA) and Steven LaTourette (R-OH) are the co-Chairs of the Northeast-Midwest Congressional Coalition, a bipartisan group of Representatives who recognize the common interests of the region and works to promote long-term economic vitality and environmental safety (click here to see a list of the Coalition's members). The Coalition is affiliated with the Northeast-Midwest Institute www.nemw.org, a Washington-based, private, non-profit, think tank. The Coalition and Institute coordinate efforts to ensure regional equity for the states of the northeast and midwest. The Manufacturing Task Force, which is closely related to the Northeast-Midwest Institute and Coalition, focuses upon securing our nation's manufacturing base by pushing a legislative agenda which acknowledges this sector's irreplaceable contribution to our economy.  Congressman Meehan co-Chairs the Manufacturing Task Force with Rep.
