21st Congressional District, New York
Congressman McNulty has proudly represented the people of New
York's Capital Region for almost sixteen years. From 1988 to 1992, Congressman
McNulty represented the 23rd Congressional District of New York. From 1992 to
2002, McNulty represented all or portions of five counties of the 21st Congressional
District.
Though the 2002 round of redistricting expanded the physical boundaries of the
district, Congressman McNulty remains the Representative in Congress for New
York's 21st Congressional District. The 21st District spans seven counties,
encompassing the historic cities of Albany, Amsterdam, Cohoes, Gloversville,
Johnstown, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Troy, and Watervliet, the fertile farmlands
of rural Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie counties, and the many vibrant and
unique residential communities in between. The 21st District is home to the
capital of New York State, world-renowned institutions of higher learning, and
many fine arts, entertainment and recreational venues. The region has also come
to be known as the heart of New York's "Tech Valley," as it serves
as home to numerous high-technology companies and research facilities. Please
