Pelosi Selects Reva Price to Lead Democratic Jewish Outreach

Washington, D.C. -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi has named Reva Price to lead Jewish outreach and women’s issues for the Democratic Leader’s office. Price, who serves as Washington director for the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, will begin her new duties on June 6.

"Reva’s wealth of talent, political savvy, and more than 20 years of experience working for Jewish organizations will be invaluable as we expand our outreach to the Jewish community and women’s groups across the country,” Pelosi said.  “I know she will contribute a great deal to House Democrats as we broaden the horizons of our outreach efforts.”

"I'm excited and honored to have this opportunity to work with the Democratic Leader and House Democrats to advance the interests of all Americans, including the Jewish community," Price said.  "Democrats are working hard to protect Social Security, promote fiscal responsibility, fight anti-Semitism and strengthen the American-Israeli relationship.  I intend to work just as hard to communicate our views and our accomplishments to the people we represent."

Price, who has earned a reputation for excellence in working with all segments of the Jewish community, has been Washington Director JCPA since 1997.  Prior to that, she served to 10 years as Associate Director for the Center for Public Policy at B’nai B'rith International and for three years as Administrator for the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.

Price holds a bachelor's degree in History and Judaic Studies from the State University of New York at Binghamton and lives in Chevy Chase, Md.
