Pelosi: ‘O’Reilly’s Remarks About San Francisco Outside Circle of Civilized Discussion’

Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today in response to comments made by Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly suggesting that San Francisco should be a target for terrorists because of voters' stance against military recruiters in schools:

"Bill O’Reilly's comments about San Francisco are simply outside the circle of civilized discussion. There is no place in responsible journalism to call for a terrorist attack against any American city, let alone the beautiful and dynamic city of San Francisco, which has contributed so much to America's military, civic and cultural history. Mr. O’Reilly's remarks are not a joke; they are not acceptable. He should apologize."
