House Democrats Launch Podcasts
Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today announced the launch of “podcasts” in which users with Apple’s iPod or other MP3 players can listen to Democratic speeches, radio addresses and press conferences. Users can also search Apple’s iTunes service for Democratic messages.
“House Democrats are committed to using the latest technology to reach out to Americans of all ages and backgrounds,” Pelosi said. “It’s one more way we connect directly with the people, including more than 10 million iPod users across the country. I’m proud we are the first congressional caucus to use podcasting to reach the American people.”
The podcasts, which are also available in Spanish, are the latest efforts to reach out to tech-savvy Americans. Available audio files include Pelosi's weekly news conference and the weekly Democratic Radio Address.
