The U.S. Capitol Building
Public tours of the Capitol Building are available.
Tickets are required for all tours of the Capitol and
are distributed each morning beginning at 9:00 a.m.
for all public guided tours of the Capitol. Capitol
Guide Service personnel distribute the tickets on a
first come, first serve basis from the kiosk at the
Southwest corner of the Capitol Grounds, next to the
Botanic Gardens. Tickets are distributed one per person
and are currently for same day admission only. During
spring and summer months, the line for tickets forms
quite early in the morning, so please plan accordingly.
The general visiting hours of the Senate and Capitol
are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Because visitation guidelines will change due to security
concerns, as well as Capitol Visitor Center construction
progress, we encourage you to call the Capitol Guide
Service Recorded Information Line at 202-225-6867 for
the latest tour information.
For more information, contact Wayne Binkley in Senator
Wyden's Washington, DC office at (202) 224–5244.
