Are you interested in attending a United States service or military academy?

Every year Congressman Hobson nominates qualified high school seniors to the nation's four service academies: Air Force, Army, Navy and Merchant Marine. Though competitive and rigorous, academy study provides an excellent educational and leadership experience, and the subsequent service requirement is a distinguished way to serve our country.

High school students wishing to be considered for a nomination should write a letter to Congressman Hobson's Lancaster office in the spring of their junior years stating their interest. The letter should include the student's name, permanent address, telephone number, high school, date of birth, social security number, and name of parents or guardians. Upon receiving this, Congressman Hobson's office will send students an information packet detailing the academy application process.

A congressional nomination does not guarantee admission to an academy as final admissions are made at the academy level.
