Our office eagerly invites interns to assist with the many different aspects and functions of its day to day operations. Interns provide the office with a unique perspective and at the same time, are able to learn about the legislative process and other facets of government.
Congressman Otter welcomes interns from across the country and during any season or part of the school year. Intern opportunities exist in both DC and in the Idaho offices. We ask that a prospective intern assemble the following information to begin the application process. An interested student would need to send in a completed application, a resumé, an essay expressing your interest in becoming a member of the Otter staff, list of three references, and any letters of recommendation that would be pertinent.
For interships in our Washington, DC office, these materials should be emailed or faxed to Nathan Greene, Intern Coordinator. For internships in our Idaho offices, materials go to the attention of Tana Cory, District Director in our Boise, ID office. Once the materials have been reviewed, you will be contacted directly.
**Summer 2006 Internship Application deadline is April 30, 2006**
An internship in a congressional office is an excellent way to experience first hand how our government works, earn school credit, absorb a different culture, and add to your work experience.
We look forward to hearing from you!
