Chabot Helps Protect Vital Engine Program
September 26, 2006
Congressman Steve Chabot (R-Cincinnati) announced today that $340 million in federal funding for the critical F-136 Joint Strike Fighter competitive engine program has been restored in the Defense Appropriations Act.  The President’s FY 2007 budget had eliminated the alternate engine plan, a joint endeavor between GE-Aviation, based in Evendale, and Rolls Royce.

Chabot Supports Additional Border Security Bills

Congressman Steve Chabot (R-Cincinnati) today voted for three major pieces of legislation that will help increase border security and crack down on illegal immigration. The three bills passed by the House were the Immigration Law Enforcement Act of 2006 (H.R. 6095), the Border Tunnel

Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003 H.R. 760
Signed into law by President Bush
Bans the partial-birth abortion procedure in which an intact living fetus is partially delivered until some portion of the fetus is outside the body of the mother before the fetus is killed and the delivery completed.

Ethics in Government Authorization Act of 2006 H.R. 5710
Introduced June 26, 2006
Re-authorizes the Office of Government Ethics for another four years through the end of FY 2010.
