In one of the most bizarre attacks on a human rights activist, prominent Indonesian human rights attorney Nunir Said Thalib was found dead on September 7, 2004, on board a Netherlands-bound Garuda Airlines flight from Jakarta to Amsterdam. According to the investigating Dutch Forensic Institute, Munir had died as a result of a dose of arsenic poison.  Please join the Congressional Human Rights Caucus at a staff briefing on the human rights situation in Indonesia and the murder of Indonesia's prominent human rights lawyer, Munir Said Thalib.  >>
