Legislative Unpaid Internships in Washington, D.C.
Office Qualifications:
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with others
Good organizational skills
Responsible, dependable and willing to learn
Computer Skills:
Excel, WordPerfect 6.0 and/or Internet experience
General Duties:
Perform research for staff (CRS, LOC, MIN & Other Available Resources)
Conduct research for speeches
Attend committee meetings, intern conferences, and seminars
Assists in the processing of mail
Writes letters and perform data entry (involves logging in letters)
Run office errands
Answer main switchboard
Greet visitors and sign for deliveries
Take constituents on tours of U.S. Capitol
Performs other duties as assigned by the Intern Coordinator
