Veterans

We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the brave men and women of the armed services who have answered the call to defend our nation and our freedom at home and abroad.  That's why I'm fighting to ensure America keeps it promises to our veterans. 

Southwest Florida has the fourth largest veterans population in the country.  Our veterans deserve a VA Hospital of their own, and I will continue to fight for this critical facility.

In addition, I'm proud to be a co-sponsor of two key pieces of legislation -- H.R. 303, The Retired Pay Restoration Act of 2005, and H.R. 808, The Military Surviving Spouses Equity Act and hope my colleagues pass these important measures without delay.
