Academy Nominations - Application Steps In the interest of fairness to other applicants, every applicant must complete all the requirements listed below. Applicants who do not have a completed file by the November 1 deadline will not be considered in the normal Congressional nomination process. They may still pursue a nomination through other nomination sources with later deadlines. 1. Contact my Fort Myers office by mail 2000 Main Street, Suite 303, Fort Myers, FL 33901 or phone (239-332-4677) to receive an application package. This will ensure you are in our tracking system. 2. Take the SAT or the ACT test. Make arrangements to take the tests so that the scores reach our Ft. Myers office by November 1. Be sure to designate those academies that need to receive a copy of your scores when you fill out the test section provided for that purpose. 3. An Official Transcript in a sealed Envelop with a signed flap. 4. Please submit three letters of recommendation in a sealed envelop with a signed flap. At least one should be from a guidance counselor or faculty advisor. Other excellent sources are pastors, scout leaders, coaches, employers, and active or retired military personnel. These letters must be from persons who know you personally but are not relatives. 5. Please submit a personal resume'. 6. Please submit a picture of the candidate. 7. Please submit an essay on why you would like to attend a United State Service Academy.
