(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Representative Sue Myrick (NC-9) announced the winners of the Annual 9th District Congressional Art Competition. 28 students from across the 9th Congressional District participated in the competition.
Rep. Myrick announced that Timothy Henderson, from Olympic High School, was awarded 1st Place. Omar Abbas, from Piedmont High School, was awarded 2nd Place. Andrew Hinderaker, from Charlotte Latin, was awarded 3rd place.
Timothy Henderson will join Rep. Myrick at a reception this July in Washington, DC to see his artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol along with other winners across the United States. Judges for this competition were students and instructors from The Art Institute of Charlotte.
