READING, WRITING AND READINESS REPORT - EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS OF RHODE ISLAND SCHOOLS |
This report analyzes the results of a survey of principals and school district officials on the state of school preparedness in the 2nd Congressional District of Rhode Island. The intent of the survey is to gain the perspective of those individuals who deal with emergency planning and management on a daily basis, and to obtain views on the effectiveness of federal agency efforts to assist officials in preparedness planning.

- The National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities, a website funded through grants from the Department of Education, contains a useful collection of information addressing those aspects of school buildings and grounds that help ensure the physical security of school occupants during natural disasters, accidents, and criminal acts and other man-made threats.
