United States Capitol
See our representative democracy in action. The U.S. Capitol is open 9:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday and is closed Nov. 27, Dec. 25, and Jan 1. Please call my office or use the tour request form below to request a Capitol tour through my office.

White House
The Executive Mansion of the President of the United States. No public tours. Tour request must be submitted through Members of Congress 6 months in advance. Call my office, or submit online via the tour request form below.

White House Visitor's Center
The White House Visitor's Center is open daily 7:30am - 4:00pm and is closed Nov. 27, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.

United States Supreme Court
The Supreme Court building is open 9:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday and is closed Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays.

Library of Congress
See the beautiful Great Hall, Reading Room, and a Guttenberg Bible on display. Visitors center is open 10:00am - 5:30pm Monday-Saturday and is closed Sunday and Holidays.

Washington Monument
View the impressive landscape of the District of Columbia from 500 feet above the ground. The Washington Monument is open 9:00am - 4:45pm and is closed Dec. 25. Tickets distributed at 8 am at the kiosk in front of the monument or order advanced tickets online via the link above.

United States Botanic Gardens
The newly renovated living plant greenhouse is home to a large collection of native and exotic trees, flowers, and other plants. The gardens are open 10:00am - 5:00pm daily.

National Archives
The National Archives house the Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights, and the United States Constitution as well as many other historical documents. The National Archives are open 10:00am - 5:30pm (Day after Labor Day - March 31), 7:00pm (April 1 - Friday before Memorial Day), 9:00pm (Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day).

Arlington National Cemetery
Arlington National Cemetery features the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, JFK's eternal flame, War Memorial, and General Lee's home. The cemetery is open every day during daylight hours except Christmas.

Smithsonian Institution
Open typically from 10:00am - 5:30pm except Christmas. Museums include: National Air and Space Museum, National Gallery of Art, National Museum of African Art, National Museum of American Art, National Museum of American History, National Museum of the American Indian, National Museum of Natural History, National Postal Museum, and the National Zoo.

Bureau of Engraving and Printing
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is open 9:00am - 2:00pm Monday - Friday. Tickets are required Memorial Day - Labor Day. Tickets can be obtained via the link above.

Kennedy Center
The nation's busiest arts facility featuring the Hall of Nations and Hall of States. Open daily from 10:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday and 10:00am - 1:00pm Saturday - Sunday.

Marine Corps Evening Parade
Concert by the U.S. Marine Corps Band, Silent Drill Team, and Bugle Corps. Open Friday nights at 7pm, May - August. Reserve online via the above link.

United States Department of State
See the diplomatic reception rooms where world leaders are entertained. This is a fine arts tour and is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Open Monday - Friday, closed weekends and holiadys. Tours are given at 9:30, 10:30, and 2:45. Request a tour online via the above link or below via the tour request form.

Ford's Theatre and Lincoln Museum
Ford's Theatre is the site of the infamous assination of President Abraham Lincoln. Open daily 9:00am - 5:00pm except Christmas.

Holocaust Memorial and Museum
The Holocaust Memorial and Museum tells the story of the Jews targeted for annihilation in systematic, state-sponsored genocide. It is a very moving and sobering memorial and is parental discretion is advised. Open daily 10:00am - 5:30pm. Closed Christmas and Yom Kippur.

International Spy Museum
The International Spy Museum houses the world's largest collection of international espionage artifacts ever placed on display. Open daily 10:00am - 6:00pm. Admission - Adults $11, Seniors $9, Children K-12 $8, Children under 5 are free. Order tickets online via the above link.

National Cathedral
The National Cathedral is intended to be a living symbol of our country's heritage of religious freedom and faith. Open weekdays 10:00am - 5:00pm, Saturday 10:00am - 4:30pm, and Sunday 12:45pm - 2:30pm. Donations are appreciated, $3 per adult, $2 per senior, and $1 per child.

Mount Vernon
George Washington's Mount Vernon is a showcase of the life of our first President. See President Washington's estate, stables, greenhouse, and the tomb of the first President and First Lady. Mount Vernon is open every day of the year. The hours of operation are 9:00am - 5:00pm. Admission rates are as follows: Adults - $11, Seniors (62+ with ID) - $10.50, Children (5-11yrs) - $5, Children under 5 - Free.
