Statement from Congressman Jim Davis on the 5th Anniversary of the 9-11 Attacks

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Jim Davis released the following statement regarding the 5th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

“Today, I join millions of Americans in remembering and honoring the mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers – all the loved ones who lost their lives to the terrorist attacks of September 11th.  We pray for those left behind, still struggling to fill the void and cope with their grief.  Five years after that fateful day, Americans remain unified in our resolve and our commitment to moving forward as a nation - and that is something no terrorist can ever take away from us.”

“September 11th taught us many lessons about our country’s vulnerabilities.  We have come a long way in our efforts to make our communities safer, but today serves as a reminder that our job is never done.  As a nation, we must remain vigilant so that the terrible tragedy of September 11th never happens again.”
