WASHINGTON, D.C.—A $52,000 federal grant has been approved for use by First Tennessee Development District. 

            Congressman Bill Jenkins said Tuesday the funds come from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development  Administration. 

            Jenkins said the grant will be used to support regional long-term planning efforts by the FTDD, which is headquartered in Johnson City.  Susan Reid is executive director.
