WASHINGTON, D.C. -- East Tennessee State University has been approved for a $57,864 federal grant.

        Congressman Bill Jenkins said this week the grant comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and will be used for advanced education nursing training.

        The funding period extends through June 30, 2005.
