WASHINGTON, D.C.—A $53,500 federal investment grant has been approved for use by the First Tennessee Economic Development District headquartered in Johnson City.  Susan Reid is executive director.

Congressman Bill Jenkins said Thursday the funding comes from the Economic Development Administration, U. S. Department of Commerce.

Jenkins said the grant will support long-term regional economic development planning efforts.
