WASHINGTON, D.C.-A $31 million modification to an existing contract has been approved for BAE Ordnance Systems in Kingsport.

Congressman Bill Jenkins said the contract, from the U. S. Army, has a cumulative total of $198.3 million.

Jenkins said the completion date for the work has been set for July 31, 2009, with all of the work for Production Base Support, modernization project performance, to be performed in Kingsport.
