My office will be hosting a grant workshop in two locations in my district on Tuesday, November 28 and Wednesday, November 29, 2006. If you are a non-profit or government entity that applies for grants to achieve various objectives for your organization, you may be interested in this opportunity. Following is the location information of these two events – the same presentation will be given at each location:
Tuesday, November 28 – Ludington, Michigan Location: Ramada Inn Address: 4079 West U.S. Highway 10 Ludington, MI 49431 Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 29 – Muskegon, Michigan Location: Grand Valley State University’s Annis Water Resource Institute Lake Michigan Center Address: 740 W. Shoreline Drive Muskegon, MI 49441 Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Each workshop will provide presentations by representatives of the following agencies to learn about the federal grant process and each agency’s current and upcoming grant offerings:
• U.S. Department of Education • U.S. Department of Health & Human services • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development • U.S. Department of Labor • U.S. Department of Agriculture – Rural Development
There will also be an opportunity to hear from organizations that offer an array of support services and resources to non-profit organizations.
The cost of the event is $15.00 per person and includes a box lunch and materials. Please complete the attached registration form and return it by November 14 along with a check made payable to: “HOEKSTRA CONFERENCE ACCOUNT”.
