DODD PROTESTS BUSH ADMINISTRATION ROLLBACK OF CLEAN AIR STANDARDS

November 22, 2002

This is an outrage, and an affront to states - especially in the Northeast - seeking to improve the quality of our air. It's especially galling to see this action slipped in right after an election, which is a slap in the face to every voter in this nation who needs to make informed decisions on election day. I can promise that I will continue to fight these standards tooth and nail, and work to do away with this decision. Our families' health and welfare depend upon decent air quality and standards.
