Groundbreaking for Interurban Trail in Shoreline
Inslee Secured Portion of Construction Funds in Federal Budget

Above, U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee joins a group of local supporters and officials to address a a local crowd at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Shoreline Interurban Trail. The Shoreline segment of a regional trail project will turn a former railway into a twelve-foot wide paved trail for bikes and pedestrians. The Shoreline segment will connect Seattle and Everett through portions of the interurban trail already completed in Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood.
Inslee secured $400,000 in funding for the Shoreline Interurban Trail in this year's federal budget. Above, local leaders and trail advocates break ground with "golden shovels" during the ceremony.
