My Privacy Policy

I do not share, sell or disclose personal information about individuals to any entity outside of the Congressional office without explicit prior authorization from the individual, with one exception: on very rare occasions, when it is necessary to accomplish a constituent's request, I may forward a copy of the constituent's correspondence to a different government agency. I always ask that the agency keep the constituent's information confidential.

When communicating with me, constituents often share their name and address. I do keep a copy of all correspondence with constituents for my records.

I respect your privacy. In addition to introducing legislation to protect your privacy for your financial information, I have co-sponsored legislation to protect your medical privacy.

If you have any questions about this policy, or about privacy legislation in Congress, please contact me.
