Hands Across the Border
Congressman Hunter was at the border in Tecate, CA., to meet with his counterparts from Mexico's Baja California delegation and kick-off a new project of exchanges between the Congressmen. The initial "Hands Across the Border" project involved the delivery of over 70,000 pounds of canned food to Congressman Cesar Baylon (Tecate, Mex.) and Congressman Juan Hernandez (Mexicali). Baylon and Hernandez will be distributing the food to families in impoverished neighborhoods while spreading the message of their new anti-drug campaign.
